General Information
Dear Dojo Owners,
We extend our warm greetings to you and your esteemed dojos. Gichin Shotokan Karate cordially invites your dojo to participate in this year's Gichin Karate Invitational Tournament.
This championship celebrates both Traditional Martial Arts and Non-Olympic karate (Japanese & Korean), fostering a spirit of camaraderie and healthy competition. Our aim is to promote friendship, interaction, and inclusivity across styles and organizations.
The event serves as an excellent platform for dojos to introduce novice students to the thrill of competition while honing the skills of experienced athletes for upcoming provincial and national tournaments.
Key points to note:
No regional or provincial colors will be awarded at the championship.
This friendly competition holds no influence over organizational affiliations or team selections; its merit rests solely on Gichin Karate Invitational Tournament results.
Refunds will not be provided for no-shows or competitors unable to participate due to illness.
Kindly register your referees, judges, and jury table officials following the online registration process.
To cater to participants and spectators, a snack shop, and coffee stand will be available and our officials' needs will be attended to throughout the event.
For those unable to attend in person, we intend to offer a live stream of the championship, details of which will be shared with instructors closer to the event date, pending Wi-Fi availability.
Our overarching objective is to facilitate athlete and official development, aiming for a day of enjoyable competition and mutual learning.
All payments and entries should be consolidated by the Dojo Head and submitted as a bulk payment; individual student entries from any dojo will not be accepted.
Please take note that entries will close on October 20th, 2023, as we require ample time to finalize:
Male & Female Divisions and rectify any errors or inaccuracies.
Drawsheets for each division.
Adequate tatami allocation for a seamless and professional tournament experience.
Referee, judge, and jury table official allocation.
Order of Events for the tournament.
Should you have any queries or require further clarification, please do not hesitate to reach out to us.
We eagerly anticipate your participation and look forward to welcoming you to the championship.
