NOTICE---WKF registration closes April 5th Midnight.
All other registrations close Wednesday, April 9th Midnight.
Please find the appropriate section below for your organization's event. We are hosting FMA Stick/Knife, WKF Kata/Kumite, and the Central Valley Open Martial Arts.
REGISTRATION
We highly encourage you to register before Wednesday, March 12, 2025 23:59 PDT, so that you don't pay the higher registration fees.
SCHOOL REGISTRATION
If you don't see your school, please either contact your instructor to add their school or send an email to James Manson manson.james@comcast.net with School's name, Head Instructor's name and email as well as website/facebook page if available.
RANK / EXPERIENCE LEVEL
Karate Events
Beginner - First 3-4 Belts in respected art
Intermediate - Second 3-4 Belts in respected art
Advanced - Third 3-4 Belts in respected art
Black Belt
FMA Events
Novice - Less than 2 years of experience and no participation at a National or World Tournament.
Advanced - More than 2 years of experience or participation at a National or World Tournament.
WKF Events
Beginner
8 kyu and below
White-Yellow Belts
Less than 1 year experience
Novice
7kyu-5th kyu
Orange-Purple belts
1-2 yrs experience
Intermediate
4th kyu -2nd kyu
Green to Brown II
2-4 yrs experience
Advanced
1st kyu and above
Brown III and above
4+ yrs experience
DIVISIONS
First Timers
These divisions are for competitors who have never competed before. These competitors should not have a rank higher than their third/fourth belt in their respected art.
Kata/Sayaws
Please use rank appropriate forms for Traditional and Soft Style. If you would like to use a higher form for your rank than you will be moved to Creative Forms aka Open. Thank you for your understanding.
Tradition Hardstyle: Karate, Tae Kwon Do, Japanese Kenpo, Okinawan
Soft Style: Kung Fu, American Kenpo, Kajukenbo, Chinese Kenpo
Creative Forms: Open, Music, Empty hand or Weapon
Traditional Weapons: Japanese, Korean, Okinawan
Creative Weapons: Filipino or Kung Fu
Continuous Semi-Contact : Punches/Kicks to body and head along with sweeps to front leg only.
