The Hosting Organising Committee (NTAUK) would like to invite you to the 2023 NTAUK ITF HQ National Team Championships.
We intend this tournament to be about building friendships, giving the students an opportunity to excel in Taekwon-Do Competition, all in harmony with the Tenets and the Student Oath.
Thank you for your support and participation, we will be working diligently behind the scenes, and on the day to make this a safe, fair, and memorable day for everyone.
The registration deadline is Midnight Wednesday 1st February 2023 and there will not be entries accepted after this date. Registration limit: 200

ALL TEAM SPARRING 1 ROUND PER TEAM MEMBER (2 points for a win, 1 point for a draw, 0 for a loss)

Timetable
• Umpires meeting: 8.15am
• Coaches meeting 8.45am
• Registration from: 8.15am
• Start of competition: 9.15am
Please Note:
In sparring any excessive contact will not be tolerated, we will apply the strictest enforcement of the rules, as there maybe differences in height and weight of competitors, therefore only the safest level of sparring will be allowed. The rules for coach’s behaviour will also be enforced and adhered to. Any behaviour that is not of the Tenets or Oath will not be tolerated and any TEAM risk being disqualified if a competitor or coach does not adhere to the rules.
Additional Note:
• The tournament committee reserve the right to alter and/or amalgamate categories on the day, should this deem necessary in regards to the amount of competitors registered for particular events
• Online Registration is by instructors only
• Instructors fill out online forms and send the total competitor fee via online transaction
Umpires
• Every club must bring at least one umpire.
• Up to 7 competitors = 1 umpire
• 8 to 15 competitors = 2 umpires
• 16 competitors or more = 3 umpires
Umpire Clothing: Dark Blue Smart attire, White Shirt, Tie, ITF Pin
Coaches (Minimum Age 16yrs)
• 1 - 7 competitors = 2 coaches
• 8 - 15 competitors = 4 coaches
• 15 - 20 competitors = 6 coaches
Coaches Clothing: Tracksuit & white trainers
Coaches Kit: Towels & Water
Please fill out the forms and state each competitors name, gender, age, grade and team name for both Patterns and Sparring (special tech and power teams BB’s only).
Patterns and sparring teams don’t have to be the same competitors in both you can field your best sparring teams and your best patterns teams.
General Rules
• Semi-contact sparring (individual) I.T.F. Taekwon-Do rules
o 1 point awarded for all hand techniques
o 2 points awarded for foot technique to the body
o 3 points awarded for foot technique to the head
• Knock-out system will be used for both sparring and patterns
• Competitors can only wear white ITF doboks
Protest on the day of the tournament needs to be in writing, within 5 minutes after the incident, submitted to the tournament organising committee. The head umpire decides the validity of the protest.
Safety Equipment
• Head protectors are mandatory.
• Shin protectors are allowed (soft material only).
• Closed hand and feet protection (no boxing gloves allowed).
• Mouth protection are mandatory for all competitors.
• Groin protection are mandatory for all male competitors.
• When in doubt on the day of competition the head umpire will decide whether certain protectors are allowed or not.

Whilst NTA UK (championship organiser) will ensure a high standard of safety in its competition, by entering this competition you acknowledge that there is an element of risk and that competitors could still sustain an injury. Knowing this every competitor, coach, umpire, and spectator accept these conditions and voluntarily agree to assume this risk. Identification (Passport/Driving Licence) are required.
