Greetings to all Dojo Owners,

Brackenfell Shotokan Karate Academy extends a warm invitation to your dojo to participate in the 2025 CAPE TOWN SUMMER CHALLENGE INVITATIONAL.

This exciting tournament, while maintaining a friendly atmosphere, promises high competition standards and serves as an excellent preparation for the 2025 WUKF SA National Championship and Afro-Asia Open in March 2025.

Our mission is to foster friendship, participation, and interaction, welcoming all styles and organisations. We look forward to your participation in this dynamic event!

Why Participate?

The Cape Town Summer Challenge offers:

• A perfect opportunity for novice students to gain competition experience.
• An excellent platform for experienced athletes to sharpen their skills ahead of provincial and national tournaments.

Important Notes:

1. No Refunds:
Unfortunately, no refunds will be issued for no-shows or competitors unable to participate due to illness on the day of the tournament.

Supporting the Event:

We encourage all dojos to send referees, judges, and table officials to support the event and develop officials for future Western Cape tournaments. Please motivate your officials to volunteer – their contributions will help ensure a smooth and efficiently run tournament while reducing the workload on all participants.

Food & Refreshments:

A snack shop and food stands will be available for competitors and spectators, offering a variety of options with card payment facilities for convenience. Officials will be catered for throughout the day. ________________________________________

Live Streaming:

Catch the action live! All tournament floors will be live-streamed on WUKF SA Live Streaming channels with professional TV-like graphics.

Entry & Payment Details:

• Dojo Heads must submit all payments and entries in bulk. Individual student entries will not be accepted.
• Entry Deadline: Friday, 7 March 2025 at midnight.

Why Timely Entries Matter:

To ensure a professional and efficient tournament, we need to finalise:

• Male & Female Divisions, correcting any errors or discrepancies.
• Draw sheets for each division, merging categories where necessary.
• Tatami (floor) allocation based on total entries.
• Referee, judge, and table official assignments.
• The Order of Events for the competition.
